Diaphragmatic Hernia

63-year-old male presented to ED with worsening chronic dyspnea. Chest X ray done, showed a large left diaphragmatic hernia. On further history patient reported sustaining a road-traffic-accident in the distant past but wasn't diagnosed with any injuries that time despite undergoing extensive imaging

Gustilo IIIA fracture

Name:

Dr. Reem Khalid Mohamed Ali

31 year old male, fell from 6 meters and landed on his feet. He was complaining of right ankle pain. The image on the left shows a Gustilo IIIA fracture. The X-ray on the right shows a comminuted impacted fracture of the distal right tibia, including the medial malleolus and tibiotalar dislocation.

Steeple Sign

2 years old child presented with cough and fever, cough is barking in character. X- ray neck is done and was showing symmetric subglottic narrowing secondary to subglottic edema- known as steeple sign.

Cholelithiasis with intrahepatic bile duct dilatation

43 year old female presented to the ED with jaundice, hematemesis & melena. CT-abdomen w/ contrast : Gallbladder filled with variable sized hypodense calculi. Intrahepatic biliary dilatation due to distal CBD obstruction. 2 cm long stricture of the CBD at the level of the first part of the duodenum.

Body Packer

28 year old male brought by police from the airport as a case of suspected body packer. X-ray Abdomen showing Multiple oblong and oval capsules seen throughout bowel shadows. No signs of pneumoperitoneum or bowel obstruction.

Thymic Sail Sign

Name:

Dr. Mohammad Anzal Rehman

11 month old female with a 'thymic sail sign', a normal radiographic finding seen in 3-15% of infants
